Situated in the hills of Mysore, Coorg, Hassan, Chickmaglur and the Nilgiris, these plantations produce fine coffee. The natural elements here are conducive to good coffee growth. Favourable climate, fertile soil, scientific cultivation and stringent quality control, all contribute to producing the finest mild coffee in the world today - rich, smooth and full of flavour.

 

t.gif (892 bytes)he Allana Coffee Curing Works at Hassan is a modern set-up with a capacity of  20,000 tonnes per annum, with corresponding warehousing facilities. Coffee beans are purchased directly from the growers, and are processed at the Works in a modern and scientific manner, to produce high quality green coffee beans. The Coffee Curing Works also has the cup tasting facility, to ensure that only the finest coffee is exported.

Grades of Indian Coffee

i.gif (887 bytes)ndian Coffee is processed by the wash-and-dry method. Grade designations are based on the size of the beans, and percentage of imperfections. Quality and grade availability are enumerated in the following table.
