| Allanasons Limited, Mumbai, is a Super Star Trading House, which pioneered the export of processed foods & agricultural products from India and has maintained the lead all along. The Company piloted export of Indian frozen foods to the international markets and is the largest exporter of processed meat and meat products. To support its export efforts, the Allana Group has established a number of dedicated manufacturing units with modern facilities and has been constantly upgrading its infrastructure and production facilities enabling the maintenance of stringent international quality standards. The product range includes frozen buffalo and sheep meat, canned meat products, rice, processed fruit pulps and frozen vegetables, spices, pulses, tea, coffee, frozen marine products, etc. By maintenance of high quality standards the Company has been able to penetrate into new markets for export of processed Agro Products. The Group’s total turn over is to the tune of Rs. 17000 million, out of which export accounted for Rs. 7360 million and value of APEDA’s scheduled products alone was to the tune of Rs. 4380 million during the year 1997-98. The growth in export during the year 1997-98 has been to the tune of 19% over the year 1996-97. Allanasons Ltd. is the largest exporter of agricultural products and has maintained a No.1 position, singularly winning APEDA Golden Trophy for the last 7 years. |
